A Note to Readers

The first weeks of Summer finds actual notable developments reported to be few.

The California drought is gone, at least for now.

Drought continues to do serious damage in the Mid-western states. Thus, I include this week, not only the U.S. Drought Monitor map for this week in California, but also the National map.

Governor Newsom, following his partial defeat by the legislature in his attempt to bypass some environmental laws that slow down or block needed infrastructure projects, still has his eye on being the Democratic presidential candidate in 2024, as Biden may face serious corruption charges with his son Hunter, but appears to continue his descent into senility.

Tulare Lake, the former largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi River, restored by flood waters from the winter storms, is forecast to paralyze agriculture in the Central Valley for a few years ahead. The significance of this is summarized in this quote from the article you will find in this report:

The regions within the Tulare Lake Basin are known for producing much of the country’s cotton, tomatoes, pistachios, almonds, walnuts, alfalfa, wheat, barley and cow milk. So far this year, the industry has seen $140 million in losses, Ference said.”

There has been no news worth reporting this week on the Colorado River.

I have two Features this week.

Feature Number 1 is the introduction to a biographical-history of William Mulholland and the building of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, completed in 1913, which created the Los Angeles of today. At the time of the completion of the aqueduct it was the largest infrastructure project in the world, only soon to be superseded by the completion of the Panama Canal. This is a report I wrote in 2013. A link to the full report is provided.

Feature Number 2 is an article by my colleague Robert Ingraham, “The World Economic Forum versus Donald Trump’s Agenda 47.” The article reports on the June 29, 2023, World Economic Forum three-day Annual Meeting of the New Champions (a.k.a. “Summer Davos”) in Tianjin, China. Ingraham contrasts that virtual worship of globalization, environmentalism and a dark age future for mankind to the policies presented by President Donald Trump in his series of short videos on the policies he will pursue after inauguration for his second term in January, 2025. Those policies are presented under the title of “Agenda 47.” I include a link to the LaRouche PAC report on Agenda47.
