Last Saturday and Sunday the conference of the Schiller Institute, “Mankind’s Existence Now Depends on the Establishment of a New Paradigm!” provided the thousands of internet participants the ideas necessary to transform our civilization at this moment of breakdown crisis of the entire existing system. So, we begin this week’s report with some coverage of the conference.
“Drought, the Weather and COVID-19” begins the second section this week. California’s drought continues to intensify, Washington State has a surprisingly serious drought in the center of the state, and other western states are becoming dry. And how will fighting wildfires be handled with the COVID-19 pandemic raging?
“COVID-19 and the Breakdown of the Food Supply Chain,” includes several items discussing the broader causal background to the now well-known crisis of American farmers being forced to euthanize their livestock at unheard of rates is highlighted during the fourth panel of the Schiller Institute conference as leaders of half-a-dozen farm organizations presented both the crisis the farmers face and what must be done.
The next section is, “Bailing Out the Banks Just Never Stops; Time for Glass-Steagle,” which, of course, reports on the continued pumping of trillions of dollars into the Wall St. banks, while next to nothing is done to rebuild the nations infrastructure.
