The Three Fundamental Laws Of Astronautics

First Law: Nobody and nothing under the natural laws of this universe impose any limitations on man except man himself.

Second Law: Not only the Earth, but the entire Solar system, and as much of the universe as he can reach under the laws of nature, are man’s rightful field of activity.

Third Law: By expanding through the Universe, man fulfills his destiny as an element of life, endowed with the power of reason and the wisdom of the moral law within himself.

A Note To Readers

July 21, 1969, human beings for the first time step onto the surface of another planetary body of the Solar System. The celebration of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the Moon and Neil Armstrong’s words as he stepped onto its surface, “One Small Step for Man. One Giant Leap for Mankind,” gives us the opportunity to not just revive the manned space program, but to forge a pathway of development for the next 50 years.

It is stunning to even consider this great leap for mankind! It was an evolutionary leap, which showed that mankind was created in the image of the Creator with an unlimited potential, but a potential which is developed through a love of our fellow man, and a courage to take those great risks for the benefit of all. The quote above from Krafft Ehricke summarizes that idea.

That revival of the manned space program is underway with the Trump administration’s Artemis project to land the first woman and a man on the Moon in 2024. This time, as NASA administrator Jim Bridenstein has emphasized, “we are going to stay.” The industrialization of the Moon and the mining of Helium III for our Earthly fusion fuel will lay the foundation for the next mission– A manned mission to Mars.

All but the ignorant know the value of the space program for revolutions in technology here on Earth. What has been lost over these 50 years is the inspiration of the space program for, especially, younger people. The mission of the nation for such great projects gives everyone their mission to be a part of the nation’s mission. Our Feature this week explores this idea and it is the alternative to the insanity of the idea that we are in a “climate emergency,” as the new term for climate change expresses it.

I urge all to watch a live celebration of the anniversary and the next 50 years on Saturday, July 20.

The rest of this week’s report:

The focus this week will contrast an environment being created by, not merely environmentalist hysterics, but by some governments and the “climate activist billionaires” that, as Prince Charles said this week, we have only 18 months to act to stop global warming or it will be the end of civilization. Not 12 years as AOC presented in her “Green New Deal” a few months ago. So, some of the statements, research reports and actions will be reported on below.

And since, as highlighted above and in the Feature below, the commemoration this week of the 50th anniversary of the first steps on the Moon by mankind, the contrast to the hysterics will present more of what it really means to be human: The unlimited potential of mankind in our universe.

There are a handful of relevant reports on California water and climate immediately following this introduction, including one report that forecasts extreme temperatures will become much more frequent in the decades ahead.

But, first, immediately below, I pay tribute to my friend and colleague Gene Schenk who passed away one week ago.
